De reciente creación, el Laboratorio de Investigación en Ingeniería y Ciencias Aplicadas, (LIICA), surge para sumar al CEI a la dinámica que ha logrado la Universidad Tecnológica (UTP) dentro de la investigación y la educación en Panamá y el Mundo, en las áreas de la Ingeniería y Ciencias Aplicadas.
