Sumari:There is a tendency for governments to allow public access to their data and that these be opportune and updated, hence the concept of Open Government Data. However, it is difficult to follow the public function when the data is very disaggregated. The Semantic Web is a technology developed with the purpose of allowing computer programs to assist or replace people in difficult or unapproachable tasks for humans, such as relating data from multiple sources. Framed within these concepts, the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá organized a conference and workshop aimed at computer professionals from public and private institutions in the country. The basics of Open Data were pointed out, in addition, the degree of progress of the country and what is required to reach the last level, in terms of Open Data, were identified.
