| description | Over time, port terminals have modernized their equipment for logistics functions, optimizing their operations. However, mooring systems for ships still do not undergo major changes. These conventional systems represent a great risk to the integrity of the personnel performing these procedures, since, despite using a traditional technique, the execution is insecure and very long, due to the ship-dock maneuvers that must be performed for an efficient operation. Automated mooring systems have recently been developed to simplify the execution time of this process. However, limitations have been found in its use, which is why the design of an equipment that does not present such restrictions is proposed. The presented concept of an automated suction cup system for a marginal type dock would allow greater freedom of movement, thus improving the efficiency of this procedure, reducing the time spent by a boat on the dock and reducing the risk of loss of human life. |
