Summary:Degrees in the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) have a gender gap. There is a lack of women interested in STEM fields at the universities and higher education institutions, hence, many strategies have been defined to attract more women to STEM fields of education. This paper presents the analysis of the behavior of undergraduate enrollment in the fields of computer science and information technology in Mexico and some strategies developed at Universidad del Caribe as a mechanism to encourage the participation of women in the field of engineering, scientific and technological development.
