This document refers to the actual status of teleworking within the city of Cuenca, Ecuador, in manufacturing companies of the canton, emphasizing all necessary steps to its implementation, technology, laws, and guidelines to propose an implementation model in these companies of the sector.Los avances tecnológicos permiten brindar un aporte significativo en las empresas, tanto a empleados como a empleadores, generando impactos sustanciales en el desarrollo laboral. El presente artículo, muestra como el teletrabajo se presenta como un modelo novedoso de trabajo, teniendo como característica principal la flexibilidad y el mejoramiento de la productividad, permitiendo, además, la oportunidad de acceso a personas con discapacidad, madres en periodo de lactancia, etc., mediante el acceso remoto a este régimen laboral.
